The suede and leather shoe will come in three vivid monochromatic colors. These are great for both the simplest of dressers to the guys who like to go all out. Naturally Project Runway is one of my favorite shows. I cannot sew and I’m always impressed and inspired by designers that can make such amazing clothing by hand. One of my faves from the show and my homie Mychael Knight designed this Diet Coke can for Taylor Swift.

BBC x Magna Carta

This image fell on my timeline this morning and I thought I would share. BBC is teaming up with Jay-Z to release a small collection consisting of two tees (in black/white) and this dope grey crew. I love crewneck sweatshirts. You will see ALOT of this on this blog. I have a growing collection and I have got to add. Can’t wait until it drops. There’s not date on the site yet. A couple of weeks ago I was visiting my family in Chicago. During one of our chill days in the house my brother in law started playing this song that had a Janet Jackson sample in it and my ears perked up. I quickly asked him to run that back and who it was. He said “oh this is Audio Push…..yeen know!?” I loved the song and immediately downloaded the mixtape. THEN! I’m watching MTV Jams and low and behold they are the Jam of the Week (swag) It’s a sign, a sign that I be knowin! The video for my favorite song off the mixtape called “Shine”. This song makes me want to throw on a flannel, some chucks and chill by Lake Merritt. Peep the Friday inspired video and download their mixtape HERE. FYI Chucks always hurt when you first get them. My advice is to break those joints in or else you will suffer. Beat down chucks are the move anyway! As for the flannels I don’t believe in spending a whole bunch of money on them…Your best bet is hitting up your local thrift store. They are already broken in. Shine On!

Mercy….

The Mercy video is still fly in every way possible to me. On my “All Black Everything” days I try to channel this vibe. We know black is slimming and versatile (and also conveys a silent seriousness a la Wednesday Addams) Mondays are always a challenging day for me so all black is easy and effortless.

You can always mix textures when wearing all black to give your look depth and versatility. Especially when you are used to wearing color. So when shopping for black look for embellishments like fringe, tassles, embossing etc. These items will add interest and depth to your all black looks.
