I am what you would consider an intuitive cook. I only follow a recipe once just to understand the structure and then I like to innovate on it to make it my own. I am also big on flavor. Even a healthy dish can taste great if you season every step. Using JUST salt and pepper is not gonna cut it. Anyway, summer is coming and I have been trying to make healthy alternatives to dishes I love by being inspired by the flavor of that dish. Case in point Cajun alfredo pasta. I’m not fooling with pasta right now and tried to work with items I already had on hand to finesse a dish and satisfy my craving and boom. This is what came of it. I posted it on my Instagram and go so many dms about “Where the recipe?!” I ended up writing it out and I figured why not just throw it up here? Continue reading
When I was in elementary school my mom planned a trip for us to go to Hawaii we had never been and I was extremely excited to go. So Kimchi is one of my favorite things. It’s spicy has some crunch and is VERY good for your body because it’s fermented (more info here). Anyway about a year ago I was scrolling through Twitter and I saw a recipe for kimchi udon. Continue reading
During the week I try to cook everyday to save money and keep tabs on my glow up progress by paying attention to what I eat. With that being said, I also like to get my “Sandra Lee” on and try to finesse a pre made food item into something delicious, health conscious and fabulous. Continue reading
Oh yeah! One of my favorite things to talk about…Skin Care! If you know me you will know that I am pretty much willing to put anything on my face or body in the name of beauty products. It’s the most fun when you see results from the all the experimenting as well. So for this installment of the glow up we’re talking water based moisturizers.
