Kith NYC Is Going To Make My Bank Account Cry…

20140228-203243.jpg

I was minding my business at work today when I got a mention from my very fly friend @Msquar_D. He gave me a link to the KithNYC store for their “Us” crew neck collection coming out tomorrow. For anyone who pays attention to my blog (or me in general) they KNOW I love a crew neck. Why would he do this to me? Why did I click the link? French Terry cotton, raglan sleeves!?! WHY?! I want all three colors and the Calvin Klein underwear. This is so unfair! Look for yourselves. Thanks Mark. My account now hates you… But my closet loves you.

Must Have: 10 Deep Spring 2014 Collection…

20140225-214721.jpg

10 Deep has done it again. I have been a fan of theirs and have posted them on my blog before, and will continue if they keep making clothing like this. I lust after men’s clothing just as much as I do women’s. Switching it up is super fitting for me because my moods change as my clothing does. Anyway (this isn’t really about me) this collection was inspired by the street culture in Japan and you can certainly see these inspirations present in the Kanji characters and the fit of the clothing. Make sure you get the full lookbook experience over at 10deep.com and shop around as well. Check a few of my faves below.

Must Cop: Adidas Stan Smith Spring/Summer Suede Pack…

20140224-095011.jpg

Spring is just around the corner, even though in California right now it feels like it’s semi already here. So if you are constantly thinking about your wardrobe and stay on a mission to get fresh…..you’re welcome. Stan Smith Adidas have really been my only favorite from them. They fit well, are easy to clean and the color ways are pretty versatile. My main struggle with men’s shoes is my foot is small so sometimes things don’t come in my size. Which is tragic. I hope these do because those red and turquoise I NEED in my life. These drop March 1st so keep an eye out.

Attention Sneaker Heads: Nike Is Switching Things Up…

20140223-135458.jpg

Nike will now require it’s customers to have an access code in order to purchase exclusive products. Each code will be unique and limited availability. This was created in an effort to curve the every growing re-seller industry and rapid (and sometimes unfair) Sell outs (hello Red Octobers…Jordans….etc). The codes will be distributed either in person or digitally and will not tell you what products will require a code. You can check out all of the details on THIS page. I am interested to see how exactly this will work out and how many other sneaker retailers will jump on board with this new process. What are your thoughts on this new process? Do you think it will work? Comment below!

I’m Taking My Talents To Bonnaroo!

20140223-131321.jpg

So on a semi impulsive decision, I have decided to head to Tennessee in June and rock out to some new and old music faves at the Bonnaroo Music Festival. I enjoy concerts but music festivals are on a whole different level. My first taste of the festival life was Coachella in 2012, after that I was sold. The vibe, music, people, and the FASHION all wrapped into one are a recipe for a good time. The moment I purchased my ticket my immediate thought was “What am I going to wear?”. I have lived in the south before so I am familiar with the climate (and nothing can be hotter than Coachella so I’m semi prepared) So it will be fun challenge to come up with some  looks for this trip. Keep an eye on the blog for updates until June and check out these throwback pics  from my Coachella trip. If you are going, let me know!

Fun Night Out: Pusha T x 2 Chainz….

20140220-225628.jpg

Going to concerts is one of my favorite activities. I really enjoy live music because I feel like you really get an understanding of the artists work and interpretation of the music. So to kick off my 2014 concert season I got to see none other than Pusha T and 2 Chainz. Both of these artists I am a fan of for two different reasons, Pusha T is partly responsible for Play Cloths and is 1/2 of the Clipse and 2 Chainz is from my second home, a foodie, and an all around good time.

Anyway I feel like for hip hop concerts your attire should be inspired by the event. Don’t wear club dresses to rap concerts. You are there to have a good time, jump around and dance. So I like to wear sneakers and sweatshirts (that’s a constant in my life but I digress) If the show is coming to your hood…GO! The show was really good and well executed. Not a milllion people on stage, good story telling and lighting and fun! You can check the tour schedule HERE. Peep some shots below thumbs up to @Katia for the amazing pics!

On My Playlist: Kid Sister “Pro Nails”

This was and still is my jam. I was scrolling my timeline a couple days ago and Kid Sister popped up courtesy of my fave @iso14below (go read her blog HERE). Anyway it reminded me of how much I was into her single pro nails featuring vintage Kanye West. The video and song could arguably be before its time, because the song slaps! Her hair, nail art, sweat suit jackets, and leggings are still on trend today (errbody got something that is represented in that video) Check out the video and twerk a lil something.

Currently Lusting After: Giuseppe Zanotti

Just look at these shoes. I love a dope sneaker but I also love a sick heel. I think it’s important to keep a balance of both in your closet as a woman. I like my heels complex, and for them to speak for me. Usually will a detailed heel I keep the rest of my look and silhouette simple. That way the eye is drawn to the shoe but also the body as a complete look (hello!). I found these on Net-A-Porter while doing my nightly lust fest as I listen to vintage Kanye. Take a look and let’s weep together.

Supreme’s Spring/Summer 2014 Collection Is on The Way…

20140217-101512.jpg

I’m a fan of Supreme, especially when they collaborate with Champion. (As you have seen in earlier posts.) That used to be the only thing I checked for….until now. I took a look at their look book for their incoming Spring/Summer collection and there were more than a few things I felt like I had to have. In my ever evolving collection of crews and sweats this was probably the last thing I needed to see, but some of these looks WILL be copped. Which means there will be a lot of stalking Supreme.com because stuff sells out SO fast. So fast that when their last collaboration with Champion came out I immediately stopped walking my dog ran to my house and accidentally left my dog outside the front door (sorry Prince mommy loves you) Anyway here are my favorites from the look book.

Adventures In San Francisco: The Brooklyn Circus…..

20140216-134933.jpg

Roaming around in a city that you are unfamiliar with is a lot of fun. I live in Oakland and know my way around here pretty well. I spent part of my youth here so it’s easy for me. San Francisco I haven’t. I always have a specific reason why I go there and then after that is done, I’m back to Oakland. Lately I  have been making a running list of boutiques that I want to check out, so this weeks destination was The Brooklyn Circus. Of course @PapiDrinksWine was with me, check on her side of things HERE.

This store takes the idea of street wear and makes it classic. , because it is always changing sometimes keeping up with the fresh can be expensive. Now don’t get me wrong anything out of here will be investment pieces, but you will stand out and the quality is worth it. The Brooklyn Circus takes street wear makes is  classic and timeless. The store is super cozy and the staff were very welcoming and polite. Which is dope, because some stores aren’t so much (no names….no names) Anyway after lusting after the varsity jackets (HAVE to cop one Especially the valentines varsity SO DOPE!!) I had the opportunity to chat with Omar and Sesa (so sorry if I spelled your name wrong.) About their personal style and love of street wear. They both expressed how they appreciate how street wear is evolving into classic pieces and developing a lifestyle and how the style of The Brooklyn Circus can be worn anywhere. Please stop by and visit and add something amazingly classic to your wardrobe.
