I don’t know how Nike even got my address to send me this. A: They don’t respect my pockets. B: The style guide is fire! Since I am on a mission to be in a crop top by summer and broke up with carbs, the gym is my new hangout spot. Continue reading
I swear I rant and rave about this weekly on twitter. The powers that be over at sneaker companies like Nike, need to realize that not all women want shoes that are Pink or Purple or some other stereotypical color like powder blue. Personally I steer clear of shoes that color unless they are extremely dope and a must have. Someone must have been listening to me. Continue reading

If you have been stalking Supreme’s site for these shoes, your lucky day is upon just a few hours away. Tomorrow (Oct 22) You can cop the highly thirsted after Air Force collaboration. Continue reading
Man oh man! I am no good. The month of May has decided to be so busy that I cannot find any time to just sit and write. Between preparing for Bonnaroo in June, working my side/main hustle (also known as my day job) and coming up with new project for the site, I have been SWAMPED. I feel sad because I really enjoy blogging and just writing in general but my spirit has to be in the right place. I have also been going though major changes so that may have contributed to my slackness. But these excuses are neither here nor there and when you know better you do better. So I’ll just do better. I am working on a new editorial with a fellow stylist that I am excited about and working on getting some new tools to produce better work (hello Ipad, hello new laptop, hello camera) Which means better posts and cooler stuff for you all to read and see! So this is my apology note for being a slacker. Tis all.
This Pic has little to do with the post, But I needed a pic and I like this sweatshirt.
Today marks the birthday of Nike’s iconic shoe… The Air Max! Turning 28 today Nike made “air visible” by showcasing an air bubble in the sole. With the collaborative efforts of Frank Rudy, Mark Parker, and Tinker Hatfield. This team revolutionized the way we see air. To celebrate this great day in sneaker history Nike is releasing a special shoe for its birthday!
I enjoy meeting new people especially ones who are truly individuals and comfortable with who they are. Rico D is one of those people. Get to know him and his style, passion for shoes and get a heads up on the sneakers you must cop in the Spring.
Who are you? Where are you from?
I am Rico D… Born and raised in Berkeley, CA.
I would describe my style as……
Sophisticated Streetwear… Urban Streetwear… Athletically Street… Ashy to classy.
When you hear “I Am Styling On You” what does that mean?
The term first brings to mind CONFIDENCE. Confidence not only in yourself but what you are bringing to the table and going put on display for the world. The term “i am styling on you” creates a mindset and describes a person that is confident not only in their fashion sense but also in self worth. It’s a lifestyle that we must become devoted to in order to SHINE! in more ways than one.
What Sneaker brands are you a fan of? Why?
Sneaker brands that I am a fan cover many lifestyles and demographics. MY FIRST LOVE AND MAIN CHICK is and WILL ALWAYS BE NIKE! LOL I could not sit here and say that Nike did not spark my shoe interest. 1993 The Nike Air Raid aka “ Tim Hardaway” changed my LIFE!! and a Love affair with sneakers began! There have been brands that have made nice sneakers over the years but M has remained consistent. I think thats what draws me to them. Nike can release a pair of shoes from 20yrs ago and SELLOUT! No matter what is or has been set the set the bar! PERIOD!! lol but don’t sleep on other brands… Adidas, Puma, Reebok, Asics, Del Toro, Timberland, New Balance, RedWing, Converse, FILA the list is LOOOOOOOOOOOOONG.
Nike will now require it’s customers to have an access code in order to purchase exclusive products. Each code will be unique and limited availability. This was created in an effort to curve the every growing re-seller industry and rapid (and sometimes unfair) Sell outs (hello Red Octobers…Jordans….etc). The codes will be distributed either in person or digitally and will not tell you what products will require a code. You can check out all of the details on THIS page. I am interested to see how exactly this will work out and how many other sneaker retailers will jump on board with this new process. What are your thoughts on this new process? Do you think it will work? Comment below!
Oh Nike! Why did you do that? Why would you just randomly on a cold Sunday in February drop the Red Octobers (Key word OCTOBER) and not tell anybody? Someone in Portland was listening to the new Beyonce album too many times. The reactions for the most part are so funny. Sneaker enthusiasts and hypebeasts all over are sick! See how twitter reacted below.

This ALL this happened…..
Cue Drakes “Worst Behavior” Nike don’t love y’all.
I woke up this morning and did my usual. Checked all my social media (admit it you do too. It’s like the newspaper) I discovered on Instagram by CRFashionbook that Riccardo Tisci (of Givenchy if you live under a rock) Will be collaborating with Nike on a new shoe collection. This is exciting because Tisci takes great inspiration from streetwear and active wear lines. I hope it’s not only shoes and also going to be clothing because if it is, it might just be the most epic collection seen from Nike in a while. Not sure when this collection will be released but please believe I will be stalking the Internet until I find out.
Swag on a hundred thousand trillion.
